Our Setting
Bornhoffen is a 98 hectare property situated at Natural Bridge in the Gold Coast hinterland. Just 30 minutes drive from the Gold Coast and 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, Bornhoffen is set against a beautiful backdrop of high rainforest covered mountains, spectacular cliffs, crystal clear running creeks and waterfalls. Our elevation of 400 metres above sea level and high average rainfall means that the vegetation remains lush and green all year round.
Our Venues
At Bornhoffen, we have two distinct and separate venues on the property. Each has its own dining room, commercial kitchen, cabins, staff rooms and amenities. One of our key advantages over other venues is that you do not share your dining room, amenities or communal spaces with other groups.
- Camp One – maximum capacity 120 people – minimum charge 60 people
- Camp Two – maximum capacity 68 people – minimum charge 30 people
- Total Venue (Camp One and Two) – maximum capacity 188 people – minimum charge 120 people

Outdoor Recreation Facilities
Bornhoffen has the following shared facilities: outdoor multi-sports court, playing field, swimming pool and plenty of open space around the buildings suitable for outdoor activities. We also have around one kilometre of walking tracks which lead to some of the special natural features on the property including two waterfalls, two waterholes and a lookout.
Caretakers
Our caretaker Ray Turton lives on site at Bornhoffen and either he or one of our relief caretakers is available to support your group with the venue during your stay. One of them is available after hours if you have an issue with the venue which requires immediate attention.
Local Attractions
Bornhoffen is located two kilometres from the Natural Bridge National Park which is a small but magnificent remnant rainforest with a ‘natural bridge’ formed by a waterfall running into a cave. This cave also supports a colony of glow worms. There are two cafes and a horse trail riding company located in the Natural Bridge/Numinbah Valley area.
Springbrook and Lamington World Heritage National Parks, magnificent beaches, theme parks and other attractions of the Gold Coast are all within easy day trip distance.
